It’s a little-known fact that Denmark is a police state where people are executed if they jump into the harbour. ;-)

The sign says: “Jumping from the bridge and bathing in the harbour outwith the marked facilities is prohibited and subject to the death penalty. The Police

    You know (of course you do; but maybe not all of your Enlish reading readers do)- somebody made a spelling “correction” ;-) It did say ‘bødestraf’ – it’s called a ticket in English, right? But the new text is much more funny ;-)

    it’s called a ticket in US English, a fine in UK English.
