მე ხშარად ვხმარობ ბრავზერს Lynx. ამ ბრავზერს აქვს ძალიან სასარგებლო ქმედება: ავტომატური ტრანსლიტერაცია. მაგრამ ერთი პრობლემა იყო: ქართულის ენის ტრანსლიტერაცია არ ჰქონდა.
დღეს მე პროგრამის ინსტრუქციები ჩამოვიტანე და ტრანსლიტერაცია დავწერე, და ახლა ქართული ენაც კარგად მუშაობს.
Jutjubo
Mi ĵus eltrovis, ke ekzistas kantoj kaj muziko en Esperanto ĉe Jutjubo. Ĉio ne estas bona, sed certe estas pli bone ol ne havi ion ajn!
Anderston/City
I’ve finally found out which ward I live in with regards to the upcoming elections to Glasgow City Council. It’s called Anderston/City and seems to consist roughly of the old wards Anderston, City and Kelvingrove.
Now I just need to find out who’s standing for election. Based on various websites, here’s what I’ve found out so far:
- LibDems: Ann Laird
- SNP: Craig Mackay
- SSP: Peter Murray (of Garnethill)
- Labour: Philip Braat and Gordon Matheson
- Greens: Nina Baker
- Tories: ???
- Others: ???
Massive cuts to Research Council budgets
I just saw today on /. that the budget for the British Research Councils has been slashed from £196 million to £128 million. This is just horrible! Don’t Labour understand that research is important?!?
Scottish elections
I finally found a great site about the upcoming Scottish elections: Scotland Votes. It can predict seats based on number of votes, it has candidate profiles, information about the constituencies and much more!
It’s not the best site about the city council elections that will take place on the same day, and which for the first time will use the Single Transferable Vote (STV). For that I recommend Vote Scotland or the Electoral Reform Society.
Den best mogelege måten å byrja dagen på
I dag morgon då Phyllis og eg kom køyrande på motorvegen på veg til arbeid, vart bilen hennar brått ustabil. Diverre var det ingen rabatt, men ho klarde å køyre bilen fram til fyrste avkøyring der eg fekk moro av å skifte dekk.
Me fekk eit lite sjokk då me såg hjulet (sjå bildet) – det var heilt øydelagt.
Phyllis sagde seinare noko tull om å det var den best mogelege måten å byrja dagen på. Kva ho meinte var at det var betre eg var med ho, at det var gott ho ikkje køyrde for fort, og at vêret var gott, men eg kan kor som er tenkje på mange betre måtar å byrja han på!
