Use both lanes

I saw this sign at Tesco. I guess it won’t cause you too many problems if you have two cars, but if you only have one, what do you do? Fill up half your tank in one lane and then go round to the other to fill up the other half? But the pictrogram seems to indicate it has to happen in parallel, so perhaps that wouldn’t be OK?
