Spätzle
I made spätzle for dinner today (6 eggs, 2 tsp salt, 1 kg plain flour and a bit of water), and Phyllis cooked a nice lamb mince sauce to go with them.
When I was a kid, spätzle were definitely my favourite dish, and Léon seemed to second that – he was almost dancing in his high chair, it was just that good.
Charlotte and Marcel, on the other hand, were much more indifferent. Perhaps it’s a dish you have to grow up with to love?
Idith 91
Idith, min mormor, ville være fyldt 91 i dag.
Camping
The weather forecast promised really nice weather for the Oban area this weekend, and given that it’s a bit far for a day trip, we decided to go camping. So Phyllis and I packed up the tents and went straight to Oban after picking the kids up from school.
Oban is a really lovely town, and I had some nice local sole (søtunge in Danish) for dinner. The next day, we went home via Inverary.
I would prefer to have a dark tent, though – we woke up really early because of the bright light.
