I’m John Ritter so I’m happy
The Telegraph has a nice series of weird signs.
I like this one: It neatly illustrates the value of good punctuation.
Black hole ahead?
I like dedicated bicycle lanes, but in this case I’m not so sure.
Also, why are they sending the cars right into the black hole on the bicycle lane?
Perhaps it would have been easier simply to write Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch’entrate instead – the effect would have been similar, wouldn’t it?
I saw this on Flickr…
The context of this photo is not shown, so I guess I can’t rule out it was created for the occasion.
But if it’s genuine, I really wonder what they were thinking about.
“Collide here if followed by giant eels below”?
Don’t leave the couch!
So what is this sign supposed to mean?
That you can’t leave the couch?
That you may not wave?
That playing games on the Wii is forbidden?
Or is it an anti-Nazi sign?
Beware of the ninjas
What is this supposed to warn people of?
Attacking ninjas?
Human roadkill?
Falling out of the truck while driving?
Slippery wing-mirrors?
Upside-down smiley?
According to the description page for this photo, it’s a common street sign in Montreal. That makes me a bit scared of ever visiting that place, since I don’t have the slightest clue what it’s supposed to mean.
Is it an upside-down smiley? Two cherries? Lollipops hanging from a letterbox? Is it warning you that you’ll be hypnotised now?
Weird, weird!
Superheroes not allowed?
I’m really puzzled by this sign.
My spontaneous interpretation is don’t run up this wall, but given that only superheroes such as Spiderman can do that, I guess it must be outlawing them instead.
I guess in theory the photographer might also have rotated the picture 90 degrees before uploading it, but then it just gets even more bizarre – something like don’t dance wildly?
Has anybody here got an idea what it might mean?
