Ok ,,, so the first mistake in your Pension fix theory is this ,,,
You simply can't call it POC's ,, not in Scotland anyway ! ( "A Pox on you," is a very strong, contemptable damnation if delivered by a Scot ! )
2nd. flaw I see is .,., "Invest this money and pay out GENEROUS pensions ?"
Eh .. d'you know something I don't ?
Tell me where I can invest any money today that will pay out generous dividends ,, please !
3rd. If private & public co's pay the same % of salary into a pension fund, that won't give the retirees equivalent pensions ( to one another ),, it might give them equivalent pensions compared to their earnings but the public sector fat cat salaries will still give them hugely better pensions ,, so private sector unrest will still be with us !
And as for not having an organisation that is too big to fail ,, what makes you think lots of smaller organisations won't fail just the same ,, only faster !

In FireFox you can install an extension (downloadhelper) which enables you to download files like mp3, jpg, png, wma and so on. When you visit BONANZA and listens to "Turen går til Mælkevejen" you just have to decide where to save the file. Happy trails.

The problem with basing everything on the second is that people wouldn't want to get up at a different time every day, just because a day had to be exactly 100,000 seconds long.
Much better to use the day. Having your birthday move to a different part of the solar year every time would just be refreshing.
I haven't yet worked out exactly what to do with leap seconds. Perhaps best to keep the SI second, but to use the metric day = 86,400 SI seconds as the "normal" derived SI unit?

But the second is a perfectly good invariant unit - sometimes days have leap seconds, so they're not always the same length.

Also, don't forget how well some of the ideas of the French Revolution ended ...

No, not as far as I know. It probably would be harder to implement here given that the UK has no constitutional right to free speech.

A lot of these problems are being mitigated by ANti-SLAPP laws in the United States. Does the UK have anything like this? It stands for "strategic lawsuit against public participation"
